Kirstie joined Expectation from World Productions where she script edited the first series of the hit show Line of Duty. She has worked on a number of shows as script executive including BAFTA-nominated series Outlaws and The Fear and a new Sky Atlantic show, Save Me written by Lennie James who stars alongside Suranne Jones.

She was also an Executive Producer on Dark Angel starring Joanne Frogatt and In Plain Sight starring Martin Compston and Dougie Henshall.

Kirstie began her career as a script editor in 1999 when she was a trainee on the BAFTA-winning second series of The Cops. Since then she has script edited and produced various shows including The Bill, New Tricks, Family Affairs, and The Innocence Project.

As executive producer of The Last Leg, Wicks oversaw the transformation of the show; from dipping its foot into topical comedy, after London 2012 to the mammoth 40 shows a year run it enjoys today. Ben led the team in creating a joyous kind of satirical comedy, which proved popular with three million viewers tuning in the day Trump won the US election.

This transformation didn’t alienate the show’s original audience with The Last Leg’s run at 2016’s Rio Paralympics of 11 live daily shows broadcast from Brazil drawing an audience of 2 million people a day. The show won 2 RTS awards, a Broadcast award and a BAFTA nomination. Other credits include Exec Producing Alan Carr’s Specstacular, Series Producing Harry Hill’s Tea Time, producing Have I Got News For You and A League of Their Own, Frank Skinner’s Opinionated and The Revolution Will Be Televised.

Amy was previously at Channel 4 as Deputy Head of Factual. While there she commissioned a diverse range of  award-winning factual television including The Murder Detectives (BAFTA), 24 Hours in Police Custody, Hunted, The Romanians Are Coming (RTS, Grierson, Broadcast), Royal Marines Commando School and My Son the Jihadi (BAFTA). She also set up the Cutting Edge Directors Scheme for new talent.

Previously, she worked at the Garden Productions making BAFTA award-winning Bedlam and Keeping Britain Alive, and the RTS award-winning first series of 24 Hours in A&E. Other credits include The Victorian Sex Explorer with Rupert EverettThe Artful Codgers, Last Days of the Raj and Feltham Sings.

Colin Barr Creative Director, Factual & Factual Drama

Colin Barr is a BAFTA and Emmy-winning Executive Producer/Director who works across Factual and Drama. Previously, he was Creative Director at Minnow Films and an Executive Producer at the BBC.

In Factual, his credits include the BAFTA-winning series’, “Our War” and “Life and Death Row”, as well as the critically-acclaimed, “The Detectives”, “American Justice”, “How to Die: Simon’s Choice” and “Abused: The Untold Story”. Prior to that, he won an Emmy as a Director for “Space Dive”, the feature documentary Red Bull Stratos, Felix Baumgartner’s record-beating freefall from the edge of space.

More recently, he was responsible for Channel Four’s hit format, “SAS: Who Dares Wins”, which sold globally and is now in its fourth series.

In Drama, he Executive Produced BBC One’s BAFTA-winning film, “Damilola: Our Loved Boy” and the BAFTA-nominated series, “Our World War”. He also oversaw the BBC Three dramas, “My Murder” and “Glasgow Girls” and Channel Four’s, “The Watchman” and “Shamed”.

Nick Mather worked at Endemol Shine for ten years as Creative Director of the Central Team and Managing Director of Remarkable Television, before taking on a consultancy role at Tuesday’s Child where he was part of the team that developed Pitch Battle, BBC One’s new primetime singing competition. While at Endemol Shine he created numerous entertainment formats including co–creating the smash hit BBC One quiz Pointless.

Nerys Evans Creative Director, Comedy

Nerys Evans joins from Channel 4 where she was Deputy Head of Comedy. She spent the past seven years at the Broadcaster where she commissioned award-winning series including: Catastrophe, Flowers, Derry Girls, Damned, Scrotal Recall and The Windsors. Before that she worked for BBC Comedy where she Produced Miranda, Jonathan Creek and French and Saunders.

Rob Brown CFO

Rob joined Expectation from one of the UK’s largest television production groups, All3media, where he was Chief Financial Officer. During his 8 years at All3media, Rob was responsible for the financial management of over 20 independent television production companies across the UK, US, Germany, Holland and New Zealand. Working across multiple genres and producing over 300 titles annually, key shows at All3media included Gogglebox, Call the Midwife, Undercover Boss USA, Midsomer Murders, Hollyoaks, The Missing and The Only Way is Essex.

Rob was the financial lead for the sale of All3media to Liberty Global and Discovery Communications. Rob also oversaw all financial aspects of M&A activity at All3media including the acquisition of Sam Mendes’ Neal Street Pictures and investment in various start-ups such as Little Dot Studios and he was integral to the launch of All3media America.

Rob has been with Expectation since its launch, supporting Peter and Tim in securing investment from BBC Worldwide. Rob is responsible for all financial operations at Expectation including financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting and long range planning, working capital management and company secretarial as well as identifying commercial and strategic opportunities to drive the company’s profitability.

Rob is a chartered accountant, a member of ICAEW and a director of the board of Expectation.

Alexia Edwards Chief Operating Officer

Alexia joined Expectation from Warner Bros Television Production UK where she was the group commercial and business affairs director for Warner’s UK television production companies, looking after the commercial exploitation and business affairs of shows like First Dates, Who Do You Think You Are? and Don’t Tell The Bride.

Prior to Warner, Alexia served as head of legal and business affairs at ITV where, over a 10-year period, she was responsible for the legal, commercial and business affairs for entertainment, comedy and kids programming across ITV’s portfolio working on shows like The Brits, X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent and I’m a Celebrity Get Me out Of Here!

She began her career as a lawyer at All3Media-owned indie Lion Television, working across the production and distribution deal terms for the firm’s programming with major international broadcasters.

Philippa Catt Head of Production

Philippa joined Expectation from Tiger Aspect Productions where she was Head of Production (& previously Production Executive) – overseeing the Tiger Comedy, Entertainment & Cave Bear Production output including Bounty Hunters, Benidorm, Mount Pleasant, Psychobitches,  Jack Whitehall’s Travel With My Father, Harry & Paul, Bad Education & Ross Kemp Extreme Worlds.  She had initially joined Tiger Aspect in 2001 as a freelance Line Producer working on shows such as  Lenny in Pieces, Harry & Paul, Benidorm, Vicar of Dibley & The Catherine Tate Show.

Philippa started her comedy journey, and first met Peter Fincham, at TalkBack Productions when she joined as Production Co-ordinator, then becoming Production Manager on Smith & Jones, They Think It’s All Over S3,  Big Train Pilot, 11 O’Clock Show, Jam & Brass Eye.

Tim Hincks Co-CEO

Tim began his television career in 1990 when he divided his time between producing BBC Two’s Food and Drink programme in the UK for Bazal and working on current affairs programmes such as Newsnight and BBC Westminster. Tim became Creative Director of Endemol UK in 2002 and stepped up to become Endemol’s Chief Executive Officer in January 2005.

Under his tenure Endemol’s UK business grew to become one of the largest independent producers in the country with a strong, diversified output – from  Big Brother , Deal or No Deal , 8 Out of 10 cats and Pointless in non-scripted , to Black Mirror , Fortitude  and Peaky Blinders in scripted.

Tim became President of Endemol Group in 2011 and in 2014 became President of Endemol Shine Group, overseeing global creativity and strategy across  40 countries and over 80 companies.  In April 2016, Tim decided to step down from the company after 17 years to found a new independent content producer.

Tim is Co-CEO of Expectation, a multi-genre independent production company creating scripted and unscripted programming across comedy, drama, factual entertainment, entertainment, reality and factual. Tim founded Expectation in November  2016 with Co-CEO, Peter Fincham.

Tim was Executive Chair of the Edinburgh International TV Festival from 2007-2010 and sits on its Executive Board. He is also on the corporate advisory board of the National Theatre.

Peter Fincham Co-CEO

Peter Fincham joined TalkBack in 1985 and became Managing Director the following year. He executive produced many of their biggest shows including The Day Today (BBC Two), Brass Eye (Channel 4), I’m Alan Partridge(BBC Two), Never Mind The Buzzcocks (BBC Two), Smack The Pony (Channel 4), Da Ali G Show (Channel 4). TalkBack enjoyed many successes in other genres including dramas such as The Lost Prince (BBC One) and Sword of Honour (Channel 4) and factual/factual entertainment programmes including Grand Designs (Channel 4) and The Apprentice (BBC One).

In 2000 TalkBack was sold to Fremantle and two years later Peter became CEO of TalkBack Thames, responsible for a wide range of Thames output including The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent (ITV), and long-running drama series The Bill (ITV).

In 2005 Peter became Controller of BBC One and in 2008, Director of Television at ITV where he remained until 2016. While at BBC One Peter directly initiated The One Show and oversaw a revival of entertainment with shows such as How Do Solve A Problem Like Maria?. Successes during Peter’s time at ITV include Downton Abbey, Broadchurch, Appropriate Adult, Mrs. Biggs and Cilla, factual programmes such as Long Lost Family as well as ITV2 shows such as The Only Way Is Essex.

During his 8 years at All3media, Rob was responsible for the financial management of over 20 independent television production companies across the UK, US, Germany, Holland and New Zealand. Working across multiple genres and producing over 300 titles annually, key shows at All3media included Gogglebox, Call the Midwife, Undercover Boss USA, Midsomer Murders, Hollyoaks, The Missing and The Only Way is Essex.

Rob was the financial lead for the sale of All3media to Liberty Global and Discovery Communications. Rob also oversaw all financial aspects of M&A activity at All3media including the acquisition of Sam Mendes’ Neal Street Pictures and investment in various start-ups such as Little Dot Studios and he was integral to the launch of All3media America.

Rob has been with Expectation since its launch, supporting Peter and Tim in securing investment from BBC Worldwide. Rob is responsible for all financial operations at Expectation including financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting and long range planning, working capital management and company secretarial as well as identifying commercial and strategic opportunities to drive the company’s profitability.

Rob is a chartered accountant, a member of ICAEW and a director of the board of Expectation.

Alexia Edwards Chief Operating Officer

Alexia joined Expectation from Warner Bros Television Production UK where she was the group commercial and business affairs director for Warner’s UK television production companies, looking after the commercial exploitation and business affairs of shows like First Dates, Who Do You Think You Are? and Don’t Tell The Bride.

Prior to Warner, Alexia served as head of legal and business affairs at ITV where, over a 10-year period, she was responsible for the legal, commercial and business affairs for entertainment, comedy and kids programming across ITV’s portfolio working on shows like The Brits, X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent and I’m a Celebrity Get Me out Of Here!

She began her career as a lawyer at All3Media-owned indie Lion Television, working across the production and distribution deal terms for the firm’s programming with major international broadcasters.

Philippa Catt Head of Production

Philippa joined Expectation from Tiger Aspect Productions where she was Head of Production (& previously Production Executive) – overseeing the Tiger Comedy, Entertainment & Cave Bear Production output including Bounty Hunters, Benidorm, Mount Pleasant, Psychobitches,  Jack Whitehall’s Travel With My Father, Harry & Paul, Bad Education & Ross Kemp Extreme Worlds.  She had initially joined Tiger Aspect in 2001 as a freelance Line Producer working on shows such as  Lenny in Pieces, Harry & Paul, Benidorm, Vicar of Dibley & The Catherine Tate Show.

Philippa started her comedy journey, and first met Peter Fincham, at TalkBack Productions when she joined as Production Co-ordinator, then becoming Production Manager on Smith & Jones, They Think It’s All Over S3,  Big Train Pilot, 11 O’Clock Show, Jam & Brass Eye.

Tim Hincks Co-CEO

Tim began his television career in 1990 when he divided his time between producing BBC Two’s Food and Drink programme in the UK for Bazal and working on current affairs programmes such as Newsnight and BBC Westminster. Tim became Creative Director of Endemol UK in 2002 and stepped up to become Endemol’s Chief Executive Officer in January 2005.

Under his tenure Endemol’s UK business grew to become one of the largest independent producers in the country with a strong, diversified output – from  Big Brother , Deal or No Deal , 8 Out of 10 cats and Pointless in non-scripted , to Black Mirror , Fortitude  and Peaky Blinders in scripted.

Tim became President of Endemol Group in 2011 and in 2014 became President of Endemol Shine Group, overseeing global creativity and strategy across  40 countries and over 80 companies.  In April 2016, Tim decided to step down from the company after 17 years to found a new independent content producer.

Tim is Co-CEO of Expectation, a multi-genre independent production company creating scripted and unscripted programming across comedy, drama, factual entertainment, entertainment, reality and factual. Tim founded Expectation in November  2016 with Co-CEO, Peter Fincham.

Tim was Executive Chair of the Edinburgh International TV Festival from 2007-2010 and sits on its Executive Board. He is also on the corporate advisory board of the National Theatre.

Peter Fincham Co-CEO

Peter Fincham joined TalkBack in 1985 and became Managing Director the following year. He executive produced many of their biggest shows including The Day Today (BBC Two), Brass Eye (Channel 4), I’m Alan Partridge(BBC Two), Never Mind The Buzzcocks (BBC Two), Smack The Pony (Channel 4), Da Ali G Show (Channel 4). TalkBack enjoyed many successes in other genres including dramas such as The Lost Prince (BBC One) and Sword of Honour (Channel 4) and factual/factual entertainment programmes including Grand Designs (Channel 4) and The Apprentice (BBC One).

In 2000 TalkBack was sold to Fremantle and two years later Peter became CEO of TalkBack Thames, responsible for a wide range of Thames output including The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent (ITV), and long-running drama series The Bill (ITV).

In 2005 Peter became Controller of BBC One and in 2008, Director of Television at ITV where he remained until 2016. While at BBC One Peter directly initiated The One Show and oversaw a revival of entertainment with shows such as How Do Solve A Problem Like Maria?. Successes during Peter’s time at ITV include Downton Abbey, Broadchurch, Appropriate Adult, Mrs. Biggs and Cilla, factual programmes such as Long Lost Family as well as ITV2 shows such as The Only Way Is Essex.

Previous to Expectation Kellie spent 8 years working alongside Tim Hincks at Endemol – she is a founding member of the Expectation team and has been with Peter and Tim since the very start!
